School Counselors and others interested in school counseling are eligible for various membership opportunities as specified in the bylaws.

Professional Membership

Annual Dues: $50.00

Professional members must hold a masters degree or higher in counseling or the substantial equivalent and meet one or more of the following requirements: be credentialed as a school counselor by a state, district, or territory of the United States or the credentialing agency of the country in which they practice; be employed as a school counselor or supervisor of school counselors; or be employed as a counselor educator in a graduate program that prepares school counselors.

Retired Membership

Annual Dues: $30.00

Members who are in retirement and do not hold full time positions in school counseling are eligible for Retired Membership. Retired members must hold a masters degree or higher in counseling or the substantial equivalent; are or were credentialed as a school counselor by a state, district, or territory of the United State or the credentialing agency of the country in which they practice; or were employed as a school counselor, supervisor of school counselors, or counselor educator in a graduate program that prepares school counselors.

Student Membership

Annual Dues: $25.00

Students who are in a graduate program that prepares professional school counselors or the substantial equivalent having interests in the area of professional school counseling and who do not hold full time positions in school counseling are eligible for Student Membership.

Affiliate Membership

Annual Dues: $50.00

Individuals interested in professional school counseling, who are not eligible for any other type of membership, may become Affiliate members.

Paid members 
(e.g., Professional, Affiliate, Student) receive benefits: 
Reduced regional training fees, voting privileges, ability to serve on the Governing Board, and ability to nominate or be nominated for the Oregon School Counselor of the Year and other awards, website access, OSCA Outlook newsletter, announcements such as job fairs, and advocacy at the district, state, and national levels.
Lifetime Membership
In addition to the above-specified membership, the Governing Board, on occasion, may grant 
Lifetime Membership to individuals who have given outstanding service to OSCA or 
professional school counseling. Additionally, those individuals who have earned Lifetime 
Membership prior to June 30, 2001, per past bylaws and our former association as a division of Oregon Counseling Association (ORCA), will continue to be honored.
